This Privacy Policy explains how MyDramaChannel ("we," "us," or the "platform") handles information in connection with the website, its accounts, and its features such as watchlists, ratings, and reviews.

We've written this policy to describe what the platform actually does, as it exists today, rather than a generic template. Where a capability described here is planned but not yet built, we say so explicitly rather than implying it's already live.

This policy applies to the MyDramaChannel website and the accounts, content, and features hosted on it. It does not cover third-party sites we link to (for example, official streaming platforms or source pages referenced for a drama or movie), which have their own privacy practices.

When you create an account, we currently collect an email address, a username, and a password (stored in hashed form — we never store or have access to your plain-text password). If you submit a rating, write a review, follow or bookmark a title, or send us a message through the Contact page, that content and the information you include with it (such as your name and email on a contact submission) is collected as part of providing that feature.

We do not currently ask for or collect payment information, government ID, or physical mailing addresses, because no feature on the platform requires them today.

Like most websites, our servers automatically log basic technical information when you visit — things like your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request, and timestamps. This is standard request-log data used for operating and securing the service (for example, the rate-limiting that protects login and contact-form endpoints from abuse), not a dedicated analytics or tracking product.

We use a small number of essential cookies and browser storage values to keep you signed in and to remember your light/dark theme preference. These are functional cookies, always on, and separate from advertising cookies.

MyDramaChannel also works with Google Analytics (site usage statistics) and Google AdSense (advertising), which each involve their own, separate non-essential cookies — see Section 6 for exactly what those do and how to control them. When you first visit the site, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline those non-essential cookies; you can change that choice at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the site footer.

MyDramaChannel works with Google AdSense to display advertising on the site, and with Google Analytics to understand site usage. Google, and the third-party advertising vendors it works with, use cookies (including Google's own DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure how those ads and the site itself are used. We do not write that ad-serving or analytics code ourselves and we do not see or store your individual ad-click history — Google and its vendors handle that directly, under their own privacy practices, not ours. Both are held behind the same cookie-consent choice described below; neither loads at all until you accept it.

Every visitor sees a cookie banner on their first visit to the site, regardless of location — accepting it is what allows Google Analytics and Google AdSense's cookies to be set at all; declining keeps both off for that visitor. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie Preferences" link in the site footer. We use the information described above to operate core features (accounts, watchlists, ratings, reviews), to respond to messages sent through the Contact page, to keep the service secure (detecting abuse, enforcing rate limits), and to maintain and improve the accuracy of the drama, movie, and actor data on the platform. We do not ourselves sell your personal information or hand it to advertisers to build profiles — the only advertising-related use of cookies on this site is Google AdSense's own, described in Section 6.

If data-protection law in your jurisdiction requires us to identify a legal basis for processing (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR), our processing is generally based on your consent (creating an account, submitting a review, or accepting advertising cookies via the cookie banner described in Section 6), the necessity of processing to provide a feature you've requested, and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the platform. We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in limited circumstances: with infrastructure and hosting providers who process data on our behalf to keep the site running, with Google AdSense and its advertising vendors (via the advertising cookies described in Section 6, and only with your consent where required), when required to comply with a legal obligation, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of MyDramaChannel or its users.

Drama, movie, and news pages may link out to external sources (such as official streaming platforms, or the public source pages used during content research). Visiting those external sites is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we link to.

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. Contact form submissions are kept long enough to respond to and resolve your message. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and we do not claim ours is immune to compromise — if we become aware of a security incident affecting your data, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected users as required by applicable law.

You can review and update your account details, delete reviews or ratings you've posted, and request deletion of your account by contacting us through the Contact page. You can change your advertising-cookie choice at any time via the "Cookie Preferences" link in the site footer. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, portability, or objection to processing) under local law. Reviews, ratings, and any other content you choose to post publicly are visible to other visitors of the site, along with the username associated with your account. Please keep this in mind before including personal information in a public review.

We plan to expand community features over time — such as following other users or more detailed activity feeds. Any such feature will come with its own privacy controls, and this policy will be updated to describe exactly what data it introduces before it becomes available, not after.

MyDramaChannel is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by your local law). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Depending on where our hosting infrastructure is located, your information may be processed in a country other than the one you live in. Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. We may update this policy as the platform evolves. When we make a material change, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
